Job Summary
Counter Sales Representative – Gexpro team, Memphis, TN. This role provides immediate service and product knowledge to customers, processes orders and returns, and supports branch operations including receiving, shipping, and stocking.
Responsibilities- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers promptly and courteously with purchases and processing orders or returns.
- Assist in driving electrical distribution sales for the counter business and developing new and existing customer relationships.
- Assist with daily restocking, showroom maintenance, and keeping showroom and counter clean and organized.
- Assist with warehouse functions as needed, including receiving, shipping, stocking, and deliveries.
- Stay informed and educated on product knowledge.
- Assist inside sales as needed.
- Inform manager of any potentially hazardous or elevated situation pertaining to safety or customer satisfaction.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- 2+ years of customer service, sales, or electrical distribution experience preferred.
- Previous branch experience preferred.
- High School or GED – Required.
- Electrical product knowledge and experience (lighting, switch gear, controls, electrical commodities) preferred.
- Experience in electrical distribution or other electrical sales environments preferred.
- Familiarity with automated order entry systems & PCs running Windows-based software preferred.
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills, ability to communicate at all levels.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good team player.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently and meet tight deadlines.
- Typing proficiency on a computer keyboard.
- Positive attitude.
- Desire to improve electrical product knowledge.
