Job Summary
Position:
Employee Health & Benefits Senior Account Executive
Applicants must be within driving distance to our Memphis, TN office and be able to commute at least three days per week.
Responsibilities- Build and maintain key client and carrier relationships by phone, email, and in person.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive client service plan for all assigned accounts that addresses their business needs and risk management goals.
- Coordinate internal and external activities to ensure new and renewal accounts are handled timely, accurately, and professionally.
- Seek cross‑sell opportunities and suggest new lines of coverage.
- Work with Producer and/or Marketing Account Executive to monitor and manage the renewal process for assigned clients, including coordinating meetings to present renewal documents and gain acceptance or commission alternative options.
- Lead the marketing of accounts as requested by Producer and/or Marketing Account Executive.
- Prepare marketing information and present options to the client as appropriate.
- Complete the implementation process and deliver all applicable forms to the client together with service team members.
- Work with Producer to conduct relationship‑management meetings and visits with assigned clients.
- Assist assigned clients and staff with service questions related to administration, billing, claims, and problem‑solving.
- Use the client management system(s) to update policies, log activities, track carrier follow‑up, and manage daily follow‑up tasks.
- Attend seminars, classes, and carrier meetings to keep abreast of new products and legislative changes.
- Mentor team members.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested by management.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and related training.
- Five years of relevant insurance industry experience.
- Appropriate insurance license(s).
- Strong client‑relations skills, excellent communication, service orientation, cooperative nature, and tactfulness in resolving client and company problems.
- Leadership skills in providing direction, constructive feedback, development, and training while motivating others to maximize productivity and morale.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to travel occasionally overnight.
- Advanced degree.
- Certification in field of endeavor.
- Experience with Requests for Proposal.
