Square is a solutions provider that helps merchants sell online, manage inventory, offer buy‑now‑pay‑later, book appointments, engage loyal buyers, and hire and pay staff. The company seeks a Territory Account Executive to drive sales in a high‑opportunity market.
The RoleAs a field‑driven, high‑impact role, you will spend most of your week out in the market meeting businesses, delivering live demos, and closing deals. Your responsibilities include building pipeline, establishing partnerships, and driving revenue growth in your territory.
You Will- Spend ~80% of your week in the field engaging local businesses and conducting 50–60 targeted visits each week.
- Execute a full‑cycle, self‑sourced sales motion: generate leads, identify needs, deliver demos, and close deals across Square’s product suite.
- Build trust‑based relationships with local sellers and partner cross‑functionally to ensure a seamless onboarding experience.
- Implement a referral strategy to turn new customers into future opportunities.
- Develop a repeatable top‑of‑funnel engine through outreach, community engagement, events, and partnerships.
- Work with channel partners to generate a consistent, high‑quality referral stream.
- Build deep expertise in key verticals such as restaurants, retail, and services.
- Sell consultatively and strategically throughout the sales cycle.
- Maintain data in Salesforce, track activity, manage pipeline, and forecast accurately.
- Measure performance, improve continuously, and consistently exceed quota.
- 3+ years of full‑cycle field sales experience.
- Experience exceeding sales targets and closing complex deals.
- Ability to drive deals independently in a fast‑paced environment.
- Business development experience (hunting and cold calling).
- Reliable transportation and live in the market you serve.
- Collaborative team player mentality.
- Prior Salesforce or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of payment processing or related technology experience.
- 1+ year of audience experience in restaurants, retailers, or services‑based businesses.
