Job PurposeThe Territory Sales Representative identifies, introduces, develops, and nurtures business relationships with companies and individuals within their designated territory. The goal is to generate and maximize revenue for the branch and the company. This role is ideal for motivated self‑starters who want to enhance their skills with an established equipment rental supplier.
What you will do- Manage territory and drive revenue growth through daily visits to customer job sites and offices
- Develop a networking list of potential clients and consistently contact them via telephone and internet
- Plan and organize sales strategies to meet desired results and goals
- Exceed quotas by renting and selling equipment on a consistent basis
- Identify customer needs and respond appropriately, considering market conditions and local competitor pricing
- Penetrate customers at the strategic level to diversify the customer base across industrial, traditional, and non‑traditional accounts
- Support all team members
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Promotions, Advertising Sales, or Business Administration preferred
- Proven track record of 3 to 5 years of outside sales experience in the industrial market and/or heavy equipment industry preferred
- Ability to drive/operate multiple types of vehicles and equipment
- Ability to engage in natural verbal interaction with customers
- Ability to follow up with customers in a timely manner
- Ability to walk into unfamiliar environments and adjust rapidly to the setting
- Attention to detail
- Multi‑tasking individual who uses project management skills to accomplish goals
- Customer service focused
- Must react to changing business needs
- Solid and proven computer skill set; knowledge of MS Office preferred
- Works and communicates effectively with all levels of the company
Base salary $75k–$85k+ estimated 1st year earnings with commission guarantee and uncapped commission. The actual salary offered will depend on candidate qualifications, experience, location and overall fit for the role.
