Bylers Building Supply is seeking a Material Sales Representative to join our team. This position focuses on helping customers identify, estimate, and purchase the materials needed to successfully complete their projects while building strong relationships with contractors, builders, homeowners, and other customers. The ideal candidate is motivated, organized, and comfortable working with technology and estimating software. Sales experience is preferred, and experience in building materials or construction is highly desirable.

This role plays an important part in supporting our customers’ projects by ensuring they receive accurate estimates, quality products, and responsive service throughout the sales process.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare material estimates for customers.
  • Build and maintain relationships with contractors, builders, and homeowners.
  • Follow up on estimates and sales opportunities to generate new business.
  • Assist customers in selecting building materials and products for their projects.
  • Respond to customer inquiries in person, by phone, and through email.
  • Coordinate with purchasing and logistics teams to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Maintain accurate customer and sales records.
  • Promote company products and services to existing and prospective customers.
  • Stay informed on product offerings, pricing, and industry trends.
Requirements
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Comfortable using computers, estimating software, and other business technology.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and customer requests simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated with a customer-focused attitude.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Building materials or construction industry experience preferred.
