Full‑Time Retail Sales Associate
We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff of the store to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions.
The role requires handling jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, and firearms (in licensed locations).
Base hourly wage of $13.50 to $16.50 per hour with additional commission up to 8% on transactions, potentially adding an average of $1.99 per hour on top of the hourly rate.
Responsibilities- Greets and interacts with all customers to develop a rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
- Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
- Maintains a clean, stocked sales floor and displays merchandise.
- Processes sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Handles all cash and negotiable items following company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Answers incoming calls per company standards.
- Communicates to customers the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions.
- Collaborates with coworkers and managers, displaying respect and effective communication.
- Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
- Completes assigned training successfully.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Willing and able to perform duties that require standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting for extended periods.
- Knowledge of firearms and ability to become firearms certified.
- Ability to assist customers on premises or in exterior storage areas as needed.
- Minimum age 18 years.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Strong desire to work with customers in a team‑oriented environment.
- Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
- Basic math calculation proficiency.
- Preference for cash handling experience.
- Flexibility to work in multiple locations and a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Computer literacy; able to operate Point‑of‑Sale (POS) systems and common office equipment.
The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers can earn 2–8% commission based on the gross profit of their personal performance. Applicants receive detailed information during the interview process.

Pay rates will not be below any applicable local minimum wage requirements. Employees must agree to a binding arbitration agreement to resolve disputes. Company-sponsored benefits and programs are subject to change and are based on state and local regulations.
