Malt RTD Market Manager - MS, TN

The Hive Malt RTD Market Manager is responsible for driving the commercial performance of Brown-Forman’s Malt RTD’s within an assigned market. This role partners closely with distributor teams, key customers, and Brown-Forman stakeholders to increase distribution, improve retail execution, accelerate depletions, and strengthen brand presence across both on- and off-premise channels.

The Hive Malt RTD Market Manager serves as the local market expert and commercial leader, identifying opportunities to grow the business while ensuring flawless execution of national and local priorities. Through strong relationship management, market analysis, and field engagement, this role delivers sustainable growth and builds long-term partnerships throughout the three-tier system.

This position requires a highly motivated and entrepreneurial individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys balancing strategic planning with hands‑on market execution.

What You Can Expect
Market Leadership
  • Own commercial performance within the assigned market and execute plans that deliver volume, depletion, distribution, and visibility objectives.
  • Develop market‑specific business plans aligned with Brown-Forman brand priorities and commercial strategies.
  • Identify opportunities to accelerate growth through distribution gains, account development, promotional activity, and execution excellence.
  • Serve as the local expert on market trends, competitive activity, customer needs, and consumer behavior.
  • Deliver actionable insights and recommendations that drive business performance.
Distributor Partnership
  • Build strong working relationships with distributor sales teams, managers, and leadership.
  • Influence distributor focus and execution to support Brown-Forman business priorities.
  • Conduct regular market work‑withs and ride‑alongs with distributor representatives.
  • Support distributor education and training efforts to improve brand knowledge and selling effectiveness.
  • Monitor inventory levels and identify opportunities to improve product availability and execution.
Account Development
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key on‑premise and off‑premise accounts throughout the market.
  • Increase product distribution, menu placements, displays, cold box placements, and feature activity.
  • Identify new business opportunities and secure incremental placements that support market growth objectives.
  • Support account planning and execution in partnership with distributor teams.
  • Build long‑term relationships with key decision‑makers and influencers throughout the market.
Execution Excellence
  • Ensure flawless execution of national and local commercial programs.
  • Monitor pricing, merchandising standards, display execution, and promotional compliance.
  • Support strategic consumer‑facing activations that increase awareness, trial, and conversion.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness and share learnings with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate the deployment of point‑of‑sale materials and merchandising assets within the market.
Business Planning & Reporting
  • Analyze depletion, distribution, execution, and account performance data to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Maintain accurate reporting on market activity, customer engagement, and business results.
  • Communicate market performance, competitive activity, and emerging opportunities to leadership.
  • Support annual planning and forecasting processes as needed.
Collaboration & Culture
  • Partner effectively with Brown-Forman teams, distributor partners, and agency colleagues to achieve shared business objectives.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and a commitment to delivering results.
  • Foster an inclusive and collaborative environment that values teamwork and diverse perspectives.

What You Bring to the Table
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in beverage alcohol, beer, consumer packaged goods, hospitality, or related sales environments.
