Role DescriptionJSI Consulting is seeking a National Account Manager to develop, manage, and grow relationships with our portfolio of accounts. This role is central to driving revenue growth, strengthening manufacturer partnerships, and ensuring exceptional service delivery across our customer base. The ideal candidate is a relationship-driven sales professional who thrives in a multi-manufacturer, multi-stakeholder environment and can balance the priorities of manufacturers and customers.
Day-to-day activities involve maintaining regular communication with account stakeholders, preparing and presenting product and program strategy, analyzing and communicating sales forecasts and performance reports, negotiating pricing and program terms, and coordinating internal resources to ensure timely delivery of services. The National Account Manager collaborates closely with internal and external teams resolve issues, support promotions, and optimize category performance. This position also requires monitoring market trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities and risks within national retail channels.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for designated national accounts, building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to grow revenue and market share within assigned accounts
- Collaborate with manufacturing partners to align product positioning, pricing strategy, and go-to-market initiatives
- Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts and support new account acquisition
- Coordinate cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment and customer satisfaction
- Monitor account performance, sales trends, and market conditions; report regularly on account health, pipeline, and forecasts
- Represent JSI Consulting and its manufacturing partners at trade shows, industry events, and client meetings
- Stay current on industry trends, competitive landscape, and product knowledge across represented manufacturer lines
- Resolve escalated customer issues promptly and professionally
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in national account management, B2B sales, or managing manufacturer — experience within the retail industry strongly preferred
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage multiple manufacturer relationships and competing priorities simultaneously
- Effective relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to present to senior stakeholders and collaborate across internal teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients, attend trade shows, and visit manufacturer facilities
- Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently within a distributed team structure
- Demonstrated experience managing national or key accounts in retail, consumer goods, or a related industry, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong skills in account planning, forecasting, and data analysis, including the ability to interpret sales reports and translate insights into action plans.
- Solid understanding of retail operations, merchandising, and category management concepts, and familiarity with national retail customers and channels.
