The Assistant Manager reports to the Store Manager and is responsible for assisting the Store Manager in account management and sales activities while providing excellent customer service. The Assistant Manager collaborates and communicates with Acima retail partners to process credit turn down applications and web orders and convert them into Acima credit customers. Additionally, the Assistant Store Manager reviews lease applications, promotes and sells Acima’s leasing benefits, and drives conversions.
This role will be performed in one of our retail partner store locations.
Hourly: $14.45 – $16.49 plus potential bonus. The bonus or incentive plans are available to employees who meet all plan requirements and remain employed. Compensation is paid monthly based on performance.
Key Responsibilities Sales / Account Management- Driving customer growth through appropriate channels (web, partner stores, walk‑ins)
- Listening, identifying, and fulfilling all customer needs in a timely manner
- Educating customers on Lease‑To‑Own terms, payment terms, benefits, and the application process
- Closing the sales cycle by converting applications that include in‑store and web orders
- Working as cooperative team members with Acima partner stores in all operations aspects
- Reporting to and communicating with the Store Manager regarding store and coworker activities and performance
- Establishing partnerships with retail store personnel to generate referrals and educate customers on the Lease‑To‑Own process
- Promptly addressing and resolving customer issues and complaints to maintain consistent satisfaction and friendly service
- Cultivating a positive work environment to enhance coworker retention and minimize turnover and issues
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software applications
- Familiarity with rental or leasing industry practices is a plus
- Organized, with time‑management skills and the ability to multi‑task
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Consistent in‑person attendance

This is a full‑time position. Days and hours of operation are Monday through Sunday. The actual schedule will vary but will include evenings and weekends.
Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the Assistant Store Manager is required to talk and listen to coworkers and customers. This position is highly active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing from time to time throughout the day.
