Specialty Account Specialist - Respiratory - Memphis, TN

Key Responsibilities

• Provide scientific knowledge, business acumen, and customer engagement expertise to specialist customers supporting a GSK biologic product.
• Understand reimbursement/distribution landscape and connect customers to appropriate resources (e.g., Payer Relations Managers, HUB, approved materials) within GSK guidelines.
• Maintain current severe asthma therapeutic knowledge and related data.
• Deliver product educational programs/in-services to customers.
• Work in compliance with guidelines and GSK values.
• Develop sales strategies/tactics and implement customer-specific strategies for accounts (allergists, pulmonologists, nurses, PAs, business/office managers).
• Build strong relationships with Marketing, Payer Relations (Market Access), Medical (MSLs), and other GSK functions.
• Manage allocated resources (financial).
• Provide responsive customer service.

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Domestic travel as needed (up to ~30% overnight in some territories).
• Valid driver’s license; willingness to drive (driving essential).
• Grade level based on experience:
  Specialty Account Specialist (grade
  8): 5+ years;
  Senior Specialty Account Specialist (grade
  7): 12+ years in pharmaceutical/medical device experience.

• Buy & Bill/Specialty pharmacy distribution experience.
• Experience with payer reimbursement managers.
• Biologic/Rare Disease/Respiratory sales experience.
• Experience selling in IDN systems.
