Learn more:  As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with strong customer service and clear communication.

You will document observations, respond to calls for assistance, and partner with your team to deliver reliable service with integrity in a caring, agile, and innovative culture.

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical facility disturbances, disorderly conduct, and other security-related concerns.

• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas and exterior perimeter, including parking areas, entrances, corridors, and common areas, with working conditions varying by location.

• Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by observing visitor flow, assisting with way finding, and reporting suspicious activity to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.

• Complete detailed reports on patrols, incidents, and irregularities, and communicate relevant information to oncoming shifts, hospital staff, and/or Allied Universal leadership.

• Be 21+ years of age.

• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.

• A Guard Card and/or license is preferred.

• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
