AWS is growing rapidly, and we are looking for a Data Center Security Manager (DSM) to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team, who will help manage and improve site security operations in our data centers.

• Coordinate day‑to‑day security activities for your assigned data center(s); provide support to all vendors within the data center.
• Assess vendor compliance, track service deliver, and escalat​e corrective actions to senior team members as needed.
• Conduct inspections, audits and reviews in your area of responsibility and ensure compliance with AWS security standards and policies.
• Lead media security requirements and participate in regular meetings with vendors, data‑center operations and other partner teams to achieve operational consistency.
• Troubleshoot security devices in conjunction with the local security system integrator.
• Manage physical security operations, develop post orders, define security procedures, handle site incidents, and drive day‑to‑day process improvement activities.

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on.

• 3+ years of security‑related professional experience.
• 2+ years of experience overseeing security operations and working with security vendors/contractors.
• Experience acting as a Program Security Officer, Security Specialist, or Security Manager with duties including interpreting and implementing requirements within the personnel, industrial, and physical security disciplines.

• 2+ years of work identifying security issues and risks, and developing mitigation plans.
• Experience in investigative work with law enforcement or security agencies.
• College degree (Bachelors) and/or background in military, law enforcement, TSA security screening, correctional facility officer, etc.
• 1+ year’s experience in access control and video surveillance software applications (e.g., LENEL or C‑cure).
• Experience working with workflow ticketing and extracting performance metrics.
• Experience overseeing security sub‑contractors that provide guards, electronic security systems, door construction, door repair, fencing, and access controls.
• Experience overseeing security construction projects.

Base pay for this position ranges from $72,100 per year in our lowest geographic market up to $154,000 per year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience.
