Armed Security Guard (Full-Time)

Company Overview: We are looking for an Armed Security Guard to join our SOC Team. The Guard will maintain a safe and secure environment by actively monitoring premises, personnel, and assets.

• Conduct regular patrols of assigned property to prevent security breaches, identify hazards, and maintain deterrence.
• Monitor surveillance equipment, inspect property, control access points, and allow authorized entry.
• Respond to alarms, disturbances, emergencies, and unusual incidents promptly and appropriately.
• Enforce rules, regulations, and company policies, ensuring compliance by employees, visitors, and contractors.
• Document daily activities, incidents, irregularities, and safety hazards through detailed written reports.

• Technologically proficient.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Understanding of security best practices, including threat assessment, access control, and emergency response procedures.
• Knowledge of firearm safety protocols and proper use of force guidelines.
• Proficiency in operating surveillance equipment, radios, and other security technology.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and respond effectively in stressful or emergency situations.
• Ability to maintain vigilance and attention to detail during patrols and static posts.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of armed security experience preferred but not required.
• Successful completion of reference and background checks, drug testing, a fitness‑for‑duty evaluation, possession of a valid driver’s license, receipt of a valid state‑issued armed security guard license, and completion of job‑specific training.
• Preferred: CPR/First Aid/AED certification.
• Preferred:
  Armed security license from the State of Tennessee.
• Preferred:
  Law enforcement or military experience.

• Ability to withstand environmental conditions (heat, cold, fumes, noise).
• Ability to wear mask, respirator, bulletproof vest, or other protective equipment.
• Ability to regularly perform all job functions at the company’s office or work site.

Pay range: $19–$23.50 per hour. Final offer may vary based on experience and location. (Please note that specific programs and options available may vary based on date of hire, schedule type, and collective bargaining agreements.)
