Job Summary
The Lead Facility Security Officer (Lead FSO) oversees daily security operations at the Hollywood Feed distribution center, ensuring the safety of employees, visitors, and assets. Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, the Lead FSO provides on‑site leadership to security personnel, coordinates incident response, and partners with Operations and HR to maintain a secure, compliant, and high‑performing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and coordinate shift‑based security operations, ensuring consistent coverage and execution of protocols.
- Supervise, coach, and provide directions to Facility Security Officers, support training and onboarding.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for security incidents, emergencies, and complex situations.
- Monitor and control facility access (employees, visitors, vendors); ensure compliance with procedures including CCTV.
- Drive security and loss prevention efforts; identify trends, investigate incidents, and recommend corrective actions.
- Conduct and/or assign routine patrols of facility, parking areas, and perimeter.
- Ensure timely, accurate reporting of incidents, logs, and shift summaries.
- Support safety and OSHA initiatives; assist with drills, audits, and emergency preparedness.
- Partner with leadership to continuously improve security processes and mitigate risk.
- 4+ years in security, law enforcement, military, or related fields; supervisor experience preferred.
- Strong observation, judgment, and de‑escalation skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
- Detail‑oriented with strong problem‑solving and organizational skills.
- Basic computer proficiency; experience with security systems.
- Able to sit or stand at a desk and work on a computer for extended periods.
- Physically able to perform the job functions for 10–12 hour workdays.
- Role requires working in a non‑climate‑controlled light industrial environment.
- Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, or variable shifts as needed.
- Employees may be required to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs. unassisted, along with bending, kneeling, twisting, reaching, and other physical movements essential to daily tasks.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
