Job Description Summary

Provides protection for individuals and property from injury and/or criminal acts. Prevents unauthorized entry and responds to emergency situations.

• Prevents unauthorized entry and responds to emergency situations.
• Assists in providing security at special events and for executives if needed.
• Facilitates VIP visits and special events at corporate headquarters.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

This position will be onsite in Memphis, Tennessee.

Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

Two years of college or equivalent and two years of armed experience in law enforcement, military police, security, or four years of military experience in Military Police or Infantry/Combat Arms, or a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice.

• Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
• Ability to successfully complete required training programs and maintain a special deputy commission.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Must maintain a valid driver’s license to operate a company vehicle.
• Non-covered safety-sensitive position.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
• Must be bondable and qualify for a commission as a special deputy with the Shelby County Sheriff’s department.
• If required to carry a firearm as part of job duties, subject to random drug testing.

• Must attend and successfully pass a 12‑week training course.
• Must successfully pass a criminal history records check which requires fingerprinting for a SIDA badge.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• At least two years of armed experience.

Starting Pay: $28.00 hourly
