You will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. - Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a government utility location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, grounds, restricted areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and report access-control discrepancies in accordance with site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, unusual conditions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and public emergency services as directed.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required documentation regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities.
- Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- An armed guard card or license is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Pepper spray certification is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
