Job DescriptionOur canine group, under Allied Universal® Enhanced Protection Services, is hiring a Smart Tech - Emergency Operations Center (EOC). The Smart Tech system supports screening operations on over 1300 X-ray machines worldwide. The Smart Tech Subject Matter Expert directly supports that effort with interpretation and evaluation of difficult or suspicious images as well as screening mail for select clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES:- Screening suspicious X-ray images
- Screening mail via X-ray images
- Monitor Smart Chem system
- Responsible for security of office during off hours
- Receive telephone calls
- 24/7 Emergency Operations Center (EOC) monitoring
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Haz Mat Technician Certification
- FBI certified Bomb Technician Certification
- Minimum of five (5) years of law enforcement or military Bomb Squad/Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) unit
- X-ray interpretation
- Explosive Ordnance Disposal (IED) recognition
- Basic communication and computer skills (MS Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement, security (such as Military Police, Elite Military Forces, combat arms) or any support role in a Combat Zone
- Graduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy (military or civilian) or verified work experience in the law enforcement, adult corrections, or firefighter field
- Bachelor’s degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studies
- Eight (8) or more years of service in any military branch
- Associate’s degree (or 60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military service
