Mechanic C

Mechanic C:
Repairs and maintains diesel and gasoline industrial and submersible pumps. Positively represents the Company and maintains good relationships with customers.

• Perform basic inspections while learning RFR SOPs.
• Perform engine services such as oil and fuel filter changes.
• Properly grease pump and wheel bearings.
• Operate portable cordless, electric, and pneumatic tools safely.
• Operate shop stationary power tools safely.
• Knowledge of pipe fittings and flanges for fitting pumps for customers.
• Assemble and secure pipes, fittings, and related equipment per specifications.
• Receive, inspect, and stock needed products including oil filters, air filters, pumps, hoses, and tools.
• Read, comprehend, and apply information from parts diagrams and manuals.
• Inspect, examine, and test pumps using appropriate specifications.
• Complete paperwork and electronic documents as required by management.
• Participate in the on-call rotation as needed.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

• Work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Use calculator, cellular telephone, and tape measure or ruler.
• Read a map, plan routes, and calculate distances.
• Be motivated, team player, safety-oriented, and have a customer service orientation.

The job requires standing, walking, using hands, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and lifting up to 100 pounds. Manual dexterity, vision, and overall physical activity are required.

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.

• 1-2 years mechanic experience.
• 1-2 years trade school or equivalent training maintaining industrial, mud, vacuum, or submersible pumps.
