Mechanical Technician Level 3 – Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain Material Handling Equipment (MHE) including belt tracking, component adjustment/replacement, component lubrication, etc.
• Complete preventative maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures.
• Use electrical test equipment to troubleshoot electrical circuitry.
• Create and close work orders in an asset management system, recording labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used.
• Diagnose semi‑complex problems and determine resources needed to resolve them.
• Locate and track spare parts from inventory.
• Perform routine maintenance and equipment testing to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Respond to service calls and correct equipment failures and faults.
• Identify problems and take appropriate corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships across all levels of the organization.

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Associate degree or vocational technical training preferred.
• Specialized skill training or certification preferred.
• 2–3 years of troubleshooting electro‑mechanical equipment experience preferred.
• Proven experience in the area of responsibility and demonstration of key duties as listed above.
• Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to climb ladders and gangways safely.
• Acceptable physical workload: standing/walking up to 10–12 hours, bending, lifting, stretching, reaching.
• Work in small spaces, dust, fumes, hot/cold temperatures, noise, vibration, standing on concrete, wet or uneven surfaces.
• Flexibility to cover multiple shifts and holiday hours as required.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $28.00 to $33.50 per hour at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills. The role requires a Panama schedule, 5pm–5am, with overtime and occasional weekend work possible.
