Job Title:
Construction General Laborer
This role involves performing a wide range of general labor tasks on construction sites, including light carpentry work and operating a hoist. Training will be provided for hoist operation and preventative maintenance to support safe and efficient site activities.
Responsibilities- Perform general labor tasks such as site preparation, material handling, and cleanup.
- Assist with light carpentry work, including measuring, cutting, and assembling materials as directed.
- Operate the hoist safely and efficiently after receiving proper training.
- Perform basic preventative maintenance on the hoist in accordance with training and safety guidelines.
- Use power tools and hand tools to complete assigned tasks accurately and safely.
- Read and interpret measurements using a tape measure to support construction and carpentry tasks.
- Follow all safety procedures and site rules to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and others.
- Work collaboratively with other crew members and follow instructions from site leadership.
- Support various construction activities as needed to keep the project on schedule.
- Light carpentry skills, including basic measuring, cutting, and assembly tasks.
- Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn equipment operation and maintenance.
- Experience using power tools and hand tools safely.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Reliability to work scheduled hours, including extended days and weekend shifts as required.

Work EnvironmentThis position is based outdoors on active construction sites. You will work with power tools, hand tools, and hoisting equipment in a physically demanding environment that may involve standing, lifting, and working in various weather conditions. Typical hours are Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with additional work every other Saturday or possibly every Saturday, depending on project needs.
Appropriate work attire suitable for an outdoor construction site and compliance with all safety requirements are expected.
Contract position based out of Memphis, TN 38104.
Pay and BenefitsPay range: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour.
