Job Description
Summary:
Performs duties necessary to maintain Credit Union facilities to a standard of sustainability and a safe and secure environment for all internal and external members.
Performs preventative maintenance to ensure that the condition of facilities, Credit Union vehicles, maintenance/construction equipment and management systems are operating effectively and safely, including but not limited to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire alarms, carpentry, welding, diesel/natural gas generators and locksmithing.
Assists with breakdown, rebuild, delivery, relocation and removal of furniture and other items throughout the Credit Union.
Assists Community Relations department with set‑up duties for events in a timely manner.
Coordinates, directs and oversees work of all contractors and vendors; ensures work is completed to all specifications.
Assists with inventory tracking and documentation for the Asset Management Program; manages facilities warehouse inventory.
Performs as a backup, in the absence of the team supervisor.
Works after hours, weekends, and holidays when specific tasks require it.
Performs after hours “On Call” duties on a rotational basis with other technicians within the department.

Works scheduled hours and maintains punctuality.
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Education and Experience- High School or GED
- Valid US driver’s license
- Valid DOT health card or must pass a DOT physical and obtain a DOT health card within 30 days of employment
- Relevant state certification or license in electrical, plumbing or HVAC (preferred)
- 2 Years relevant facilities maintenance experience
- Annual OSHA training on specific tools, equipment, and/or procedures including but not limited to forklift, lockout/tagout, lifting, slip trips and falls
- Effectively apply internal and external customer service practices and processes to meet quality service standards and achieve member satisfaction
- Demonstrate proper lifting and safety techniques
- Safe driving practices
- Resolve problems utilizing advanced knowledge and experience
- Communicate in a professional manner and deliver information clearly and effectively
- Actively listen to questions, opinions and ideas of others
- Use tact and diplomacy in sensitive and confidential situations
- Use correct English including spelling, grammar and punctuation
- Operate computers and use business software and other standard office equipment
- Understand and follow written and oral instructions
- Set priorities and manage one’s own time effectively
- Constant standing, sitting, walking, bending and climbing
- Using hands repetitively to handle, feel or operate computers and other standard office equipment
- Reaching with hands and arms
- Good vision, including but not limited to close and long vision, depth perception and the ability to distinguish color and shades
- Good hearing, in regular proximity and in louder work environments including but not limited to warning signals and operating equipment sounds
- Lifting and carrying up to and in excess of 100 pounds
- Works in both indoor and outdoor environments
- Work hours may include early mornings, evenings, nights, weekends or holidays
- Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
- Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and equipment
- Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles
- Occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions
- Occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock
