• You should have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a diesel mechanic, with a background in heavy construction equipment or rental required.
• Advanced experience with major & minor repairs of hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and diesel and gas engines on construction equipment and delivery fleet.
• Experience with Tier 4 engines and DPF, SCR, DEF, and EGR aftertreatment systems is highly preferred.
• Extensive experience performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and performing heavy equipment repairs.
• Must have the necessary tools you need to perform the scope of equipment repairs.
• Inspect, service, and test equipment, ensuring performance to manufacturer specifications.
• Advanced understanding of schematics, computer diagnostic software, and welding methods.
• Demonstrate exceptional organizational skills and efficient time management techniques.
• Successfully manage multiple priorities concurrently, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
• Safety oriented, maintaining industry and Sunstate safety standards while performing equipment repairs.

• A DOT Medical Card is required to operate a field service truck.
• Perform minor and major repairs on gas and diesel engines, complex hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and drive trains to include manual and power shift transmissions on equipment and trucks.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions and repair equipment.
• Inspect, service, and test equipment, ensuring performance to manufacturer specifications.
• Perform routine service on equipment which includes checking fluid levels, changing fluid, and lubricating.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records on the maintenance and repair of equipment, including warranty records.
