Position Summary:
Full-Time, 8:30am-5pm
As a Maintenance Technician, you will perform general maintenance and repair duties. This position requires the ability to work different shifts, including weekends, holidays, and extended hours outdoors in varying weather conditions. Teamwork and collaboration across departments are essential for success. RequiredExperience
- High School Diploma, GED, or some college credits from a technical school; or one or more years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient in all aspects of apartment maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, structural, and appliance repair; experience with drywall repairs and painting are essential.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondences.
- Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form; ability to solve problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

- Operate various types of tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other team members.
- Identify and report broken equipment or uncertain conditions to the department supervisor.
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and safe condition that meets safety regulations.
- Perform preventative maintenance on machinery and the building or grounds as required.
- Maintain a positive customer‑service attitude in interactions with staff and property residents.
This position entails standing for long periods of time. The employee is required to communicate effectively, sit, stand, walk, and use hands for tasks such as handling keyboards, telephones, paper, files, and other equipment. Occasionally the employee must reach with hands and arms. The role requires reviewing detailed documents and reading computer screens, and may involve lifting or moving up to 25 pounds.
The work environment is moderately noisy and may require occasional travel to different locations.
