Responsibilities
Repairing electric and gas drive welding equipment. Work with electrical voltages up to 440 V ac and 900 V dc. Test and ensure welding equipment is operating as it should and is in safe working order. Attend service training certification schools as required to stay up to date on warranty and latest technologies.
Diagnose, service and repair electrical, mechanical, and engine driven equipment including MIG, TIG, STICK and PLASMA CUTTERS.
Test equipment after repairs are made to ensure proper and safe operation.
Qualifications- Post‑secondary education equivalent to a one-year Technical College or equivalent.
- 1‑3+ years of related electrical and mechanical experience.
- Working knowledge of positioning equipment, welding application and equipment is an asset.
- Strong electrical and mechanical background preferred.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand for long periods of time, and work in a shop environment.
- No welding skills required.
