Job Description & How to Apply Below

Location:

Memphis, TN (based in our Memphis office)

Travel: ~70% during the summer peak season, lighter the rest of the year

Reports to:

Head of Field Operations

What you'll do

You’ll work hands‑on with our control systems, diagnosing and repairing controllers that stop communicating, troubleshooting and replacing sensors, and tackling a range of issues from simple to complex. Your day involves reviewing dashboard data, identifying anomalies, determining root causes, and determining the correct fix before you even leave the office. When on site, you’ll handle electrical work, install, swap, and wire components, working outdoors and at height under real summer conditions.

While you’ll have engineering support for tough problems, the expectation is that you own each problem, bring solutions, and work independently, without needing constant guidance.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 2–4 years of hands‑on technical experience in controls, building automation, instrumentation, industrial maintenance, or a strong HVAC/electrical background.
• Comfortable with computers and able to connect to controllers, pull logs, and troubleshoot without hesitation.
• Self‑starter who prefers to solve problems independently and communicates clearly when assistance is required.
• Willing to travel and handle heat during busy season; holds a valid driver’s license and can pass a background check.

Above all, you are someone the team trusts to handle site work alone and get it done.

Bonus if you have
  • Experience with building automation systems (BAS), PLCs, or similar control platforms
  • A background in HVAC, refrigeration, or evaporative/adiabatic cooling
  • Networking and IP troubleshooting know‑how (diagnosing communication issues)
  • Familiarity with reading electrical schematics and using diagnostic tools
  • Relevant certifications (EPA 608, electrical, OSHA, etc.) — though none are required to apply
