We are seeking a skilled and motivated Traveling HVAC Installer Technician to join our team installing, servicing, and repairing commercial HVAC units on cell phone towers. The role is fast‑paced and challenging, best suited for individuals who are self‑directed, highly motivated, willing to travel, and eager to learn and grow in the telecom industry.
Core Responsibilities- Install and replace components of entire commercial cooling systems on cell tower cooling units
- Complete timely and accurate daily reports
- Drive to remote work sites as needed
- Perform upgrades on out‑of‑season equipment
- Conduct performance checks as required
Specific duties may vary or evolve over time based on business and client needs.
Core Experience- At least 1 year of HVAC maintenance experience (commercial preferred)
- At least 1 year of construction experience considered in lieu of HVAC experience
- Experience with wall‑mounted Marv Air, Bard, and Marv Air DAC/WAC direct air‑cooling units highly preferred
- Basic knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components including refrigeration systems
Candidates must be able to comply with FCC/FAA/EPA/OSHA standards. The role requires extensive travel: 80 % travel, up to three weeks at a time, within the Memphis, Tennessee or North Mississippi area.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Must pass a pre‑employment drug screen and background check
- Must have the ability to inspect and troubleshoot equipment/alarms effectively, visually and audibly
- Must be willing to be on call and travel for work when needed, especially during busy summer months
- May need to pass DOT physical
Hourly pay $18.00–$25.00 depending on experience (DOE). Per diem will be provided when traveling.
