Thermoplastic Machine Operator

Join our roadway construction team as a Thermoplastic Machine Operator
, where you will play a key role in delivering high-quality pavement markings for public and private roadways. • Operate thermoplastic striping equipment, including ride-on machines and melting systems, to apply roadway markings
• Lead or support daily crew operations, including job sequencing and on-site decision‑making
• Ensure proper handling of thermoplastic materials, including monitoring melting temperatures and application thickness
• Perform layout for lines, arrows, legends, crosswalks, and intersection markings according to project specifications
• Maintain and perform basic troubleshooting on equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation
• Coordinate with project managers, inspectors, and contractors to complete projects on schedule
• Follow all applicable MUTCD, state, and local roadway marking standards
• Uphold safety protocols to maintain a safe work zone for both crew members and the traveling public
• Complete daily reports, track quantities, and maintain required documentation

• Hands‑on experience operating thermoplastic striping equipment and related machinery
• Knowledge of roadway safety procedures and work zone safety practices
• Experience with small‑quantity or short‑line thermoplastic applications
• Ability to perform layout and installation of various pavement markings
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
