Reser's Fine Foods, Inc. seeks a Refrigeration Technician 3 to maintain and troubleshoot industrial refrigeration systems in a high-volume food manufacturing plant. This role services ammonia and mechanical refrigeration, compressors, condensers, evaporators, and controls to support safe, consistent production. Responsibilities include diagnostics, repairs, preventive maintenance, and accurate documentation while following strict safety, EPA, and food-quality standards. You'll work hands-on with a collaborative, safety-focused team in a fast-paced environment with training, growth, and advancement potential.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair industrial and ammonia refrigeration equipment to minimize downtime.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on compressors, condensers, evaporators, and related control systems.
- Monitor system performance, diagnose alarms, and adjust controls to maintain proper temperatures for food safety.
- Document work orders, maintenance records, and refrigerant usage in compliance with regulations and company standards.
- Collaborate with production, quality, and safety teams to support reliable plant operations and continuous improvement.
- Follow all OSHA, EPA, and plant safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and proper handling of refrigerants.
- Assist in refrigeration system upgrades, installations, and start-ups as the facility grows or modernizes.
