• Performs routine preventive maintenance to ensure the safety, proper functionality, and aesthetics of facilities, equipment, or fixtures by following
• established preventive maintenance schedules and guidelines. Inspects, cleans, and repairs facilities, equipment, or fixtures. Observes and
• documents signs of wear and tear. Gathers capital expense information. Recommends repair needs to eliminate ongoing and future repairs.
• Determines replacement needs. Documents preventive maintenance activities.
• Performs major and minor repairs on facilities, equipment, or fixtures by utilizing multiple craft skills (for example, plumbing, electrical, carpentry,
• material handling equipment, food equipment). Inspects, operates, or tests facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues. Dismantles equipment,
• machines, or facilities to access and remove defective parts. Diagnoses problems utilizing blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary.
• Utilizes hand tools, power tools, hoists, and other equipment. Provides prompt response to emergency calls. Documents repair activities.
• Manages work orders, maintenance schedules, and contractors by completing and providing required written and electronic information (for example,
• expense vouchers, weekly summaries, work orders, maintenance logs). Conducts price comparison of parts and travel-related costs. Orders parts
• and replacement equipment and tracks orders. Records purchases and usage. Submits warranty claims. Complies with Occupational Safety and
• Health Administration (OSHA) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations and guidelines. Ensures quality work is completed that
• complies with federal, state, and local regulations. Ensures contractors follow Walmart quality standards and safety requirements and meet contract
• requirements. Identifies and reports deficiencies. Unloads and stores equipment. Transports equipment between facilities.
• Demonstrates, promotes, and supports compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity. Uses the Open Door
• Policy. Assists management with correcting ethical and compliance issues and problems.
• Follows safety procedures, responds to work orders, completes documentation, and coordinates with managers, coworkers, customers, and other
• business partners using verbal, written, and electronic communication methods.
• Maintains a safe work environment. Observes and adheres to all safety policies and procedures. Reports all safety violations to management.
• Ensures all assigned equipment, tools, safety items, vehicles, trailers, and other items are maintained in proper working order by following proper
• maintenance and inventory schedules.
• Performs other facility-related maintenance duties as assigned.
• Participates in an on-call rotation, occurring approximately every 4–6 weeks, to support business critical needs outside of standard business hours.
• During assigned on-call periods, responds in a timely manner to incidents or requests and supports issue resolution or appropriate escalation as
• needed.
• Maintains vehicles in working mechanical (basic maintenance) and cleanliness condition. Coordinates and takes vehicles for required maintenance,
• ensuring beforehand that alternate driving support is arranged.
• Safely operates motor vehicles and ensures vehicles have all the required documents. Checks fuel and water levels, brake condition, signals, and
• lights.
• Submits maintenance invoices for payment. Verifies the coverage and validity of vehicle insurance.
