Industrial Electrician

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-minded Industrial Electrician to join our maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex electrical systems, heavy manufacturing machinery, and automated control systems. The ideal candidate has deep technical expertise with three-phase power distribution, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), and variable frequency drives (VFDs). Your primary goal will be to maximize equipment reliability and minimize production downtime while adhering to the highest industry safety standards.

Core Duties & Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and resolve electrical malfunctions on automated assembly lines, robotic units, motors, and instrumentation to quickly restore production.
• Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine inspections, testing, and cleaning on circuits, motor control centers, transformers, switchgears, and relays to prevent failures.
• Installation & Upgrades: Install conduit, run heavy-duty wiring, and hook up new industrial machinery according to technical blueprints and schematics.
• Automation Support: Read and interpret PLC ladder logic diagrams and adjust variable frequency drives to keep smart-factory automation operating seamlessly.
• Compliance & Safety: Maintain total compliance with local electrical regulations, the National Electrical Code (NEC), and company safety procedures—including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and Arc Flash protection (NFPA 70E).
• Documentation: Maintain meticulous logs of electrical modifications, parts used, and completed preventative maintenance work orders.
