Salary & BenefitsSalary ranges from $60,000-$75,000 plus a 5-10% performance bonus.
Shift & HoursOnsite position at our Memphis, TN Terminal. Flexible schedule required:
Monday-Friday 4 PM‑2 AM. Average hours ≈ 50 hrs/week.
- Experience in managing a team, preferably in transportation operations.
- Thorough understanding of the LTL trucking industry.
- Prior management, dispatch or dock experience, preferably in LTL trucking.
- Strong leadership skills, including hiring, coaching, counseling, training and mentoring employees.
- Desire to surround customers with excellence in service.
- High aptitude for technology.
- Ability to multi‑task while being detail oriented.
- Excellent written, listening and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to work 50 hrs/week on average.
- Capability to work any shift including nights and/or weekends and in any weather condition.
- Ability to work under tight time constraints in a high‑pressure environment with multiple priorities.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
- Oversee dock operations for your designated section of the terminal dock.
- Load, manage forklift traffic, and oversee proper picking/sortation of palletized freight.
- Ensure proper loading of carriers by monitoring the cube and weight of trailers.
- Provide leadership and accountability to drivers, dock workers and dock hands.
- Monitor dock production, ensuring facility key performance indicator goals are met and/or exceeded.
- Monitor hours and overtime.
- Maintain a safe work environment compliant with state and federal DOT/OSHA standards.
- Ensure company operational model compliance.
- Support a culture of excellence in quality of product to internal and external customers.
