Delivery Driver - Pizza! East Memphis

Job Description

Domino's Pizza is hiring delivery drivers to staff stores in your area. The position requires delivery of pizzas within a designated area and engagement with customers via phone and in person.

You must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver's license with a safe driving record that meets company standards. Access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery is required. You should possess navigational skills to read maps, locate addresses within the delivery area and navigate adverse terrain such as multi‑story buildings.

• Operate all equipment.
• Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, walk‑in cooler.
• Prepare product.
• Receive and process telephone orders.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.

Orientation and training are provided on the job.

Comprehend and give correct written instructions. Communicate verbally with customers and coworkers to process orders both over the phone and in person.

• Perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly (may use calculator).
• Make correct monetary change.
• Talk, write, and use telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to perform precise movements with speed.
• Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Navigate delivery routes within the designated area.

Exposure to varying weather conditions while performing outside tasks; in‑store temperatures range from 36°F in cooler to 90°F+ in some areas. Contact with food odors, cornmeal dust, and hot surfaces up to 500°F. Physical exposure to moving mechanical parts and cramped quarters.

Good hearing and speaking for telephone work; near, mid, and far vision; depth perception; ability to differentiate heat and cold surfaces; night vision for driving. Must be able to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone or in team, manage stress, meet quality standards, analyze data, and make judgments.

Standing, walking, and sitting tasks; must lift up to 50 pounds; carry heavy items such as pizza sauce up to 30 pounds; push or pull trays on dollies; climb stairs or ladders; stoop and bend at waist; crouch or squat occasionally; reach overhead or down to shelves; drive a vehicle to deliver pizzas.

Driving:
Deliver pizzas within designated area and deliver flyers/door hangers. Requires valid driver's license with safe record and insured vehicle. Must navigate adverse terrain and hold packages during transport.
