JOB OVERVIEW
As a Driver Operator, you'll play a vital part in our daily operations, taking charge of safely operating heavy trucks and specialized equipment. Your responsibilities include ensuring cargo is loaded and unloaded correctly, managing all necessary paperwork, performing thorough inspections, maintaining the vehicle, staying on schedule, and communicating effectively with our dispatch team and customers. This job may involve dirty and physically demanding environments, requiring physical labor.

- Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently, following traffic laws and regulations, and adhering to hours-of-service requirements.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring it is properly secured, and manage paperwork related to shipments.
- Collect delivery instructions from dispatcher, verifying instructions and routes.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, report maintenance issues, and perform routine maintenance tasks.
- Communicate with dispatchers and customers, maintain accurate trip logs, and document deliveries.
- Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Transport non-hazardous and hazardous materials in accordance with applicable guidelines, DOT, and company safety procedures.
- Perform industrial work and biohazard cleanups.
- Assist in the removal of soil, debris, and cleanup of spill sites.

- Ability to read, write, and do mathematics
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing employee must frequently lift or move items up to 60 pounds and climb stairs and ladders. May occasionally deal with heights. Must be able to wear personal equipment, including respiratory protection. Work includes both office setting and physical jobsite, and the ability to work in confined spaces when needed.
This position requires working around hazardous waste. To ensure a proper respirator seal, employees must be clean‑shaven while performing work in these areas.
