Job Overview
Responsible for timely and accurate preparation of international and domestic shipments from paperwork, carrier invoices, and customer revenue recognition. Support logistics, transportation, and customs processes by maintaining accurate documentation and managing related issues.
Responsibilities- Coordinate logistics, transportation, and customs processes by maintaining accurate documentation, inputting key data, and coordinating with production teams and shipping providers.
- Assist with import, export, and domestic transportation processes.
- Track shipments inbound and outbound to ensure accurate and timely delivery.
- Interact with transportation providers to ensure accurate and timely delivery.
- Support logistics and customs functions in accordance with applicable laws and procedures.
- Compare tariff to carrier invoices, accurately prepare, adjust, and verify pre‑bill documents before invoicing the customer.
- Enter data accurately into systems for tracing and invoicing shipments.
- Apply proper carrier charges and revenue, validating all charges on invoices.
- Manage multiple projects on tight time frames and adapt to changing business needs.
- Communicate effectively verbally and in writing with internal teams and external clients.
- Handle additional special projects as assigned.
- Adhere to company policies, safety protocols, and health regulations.
- Follow all procedures outlined in the company’s security policy.
- Ensure secure and compliant handling of shipments and documentation.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience in logistics is preferred for domestic and international transportation.
- Familiarity with TMS (Transportation Management System) and logistics software.
- Understanding of basic shipping documentation and customs regulations.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
- Effective communication skills for internal and external coordination.
- SAP experience is a plus.
- Billing and invoicing experience is a plus.
- Adhere to company policies, safety protocols, and health regulations.
- Follow all procedures outlined in the company’s security policy.
- Ensure secure and compliant handling of shipments and documentation.
