Driver Crewperson Part-time

Job Description

Works under the direct supervision of an assigned supervisor and may be assigned to perform various types of general labor and unskilled work, which include but are not limited to the following:
Collects residential and commercial refuse riding in a solid waste collection vehicle along an assigned route as a member of a collection crew. Performs recycling and special collection duties. Loads, unloads, and moves materials manually. Performs routine cleaning of buildings and equipment. Maintains various properties and facility grounds to include basic grass cutting, weeding, trimming, raking, etc. Operates and drives various types of trucks, ½ ton and up, including packers, trash body trucks, dump trucks;

and performs routine maintenance such as, lubricating, fueling and cleaning equipment. Notifies the supervisor of repairs and maintenance work needed for building and equipment. Assists skilled trade personnel in more complex duties.

Other functions

Ability to understand written and verbal instructions. Experience with solid waste collection and related equipment preferred. Experience maintaining property and grounds and operating relating hand and motorized tools preferred. Must have a valid Class "B" Tennessee Commercial Driver's License and must comply with Federal Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). and Drug testing rules.
