Boise Cascade has an exciting opening for a Millwork Freight Specialist! Please review the responsibilities and needed qualifications below and apply today! Responsibilities include scheduling the inbound and/or outbound delivery of products and orders to customers via contract or company truck drivers. Coordination with the location's personnel to provide trucking arrangements for all freight needs. Utilization of RFN system (review routes, assign route number, release pick ticket information to scanning equipment) for trucks and/or will calls.

Coordination of staging, storage of all door material, slabs, jambs, glass, etc. Creation of day-to-day safety awareness and DOT and OSHA regulations. Development of efficient delivery schedules effectively utilizing trucks and/or use of contract drivers. Assurance of timely filing of DOT reports and Driver Services records. Maintenance of profiles and freight contracts, motor carrier profiles, shipping rates, driving logs, etc.

and update the Agility system as appropriate. Monitoring hours of service compliance, and messaging Truck Drivers as needed through People Net system. May train driving associates. Demonstration of strong commitment to safety, quality, environmental awareness, and continuous process improvement. Performance of other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, GED or two (2) years equivalent work experience. Working conditions are an office environment with minimal physical exertion, and frequent periods of sitting. Preferred qualifications typically include three (3) to five (5) years of experience in related job function. May require technical certification or associate degree. Knowledge and experience with DOT regulations, requirements and truck driver safety a plus.

Effective communication skills. Ability to perform tasks in a fast paced work environment. Requires proficiency in utilizing computer software applications necessary for performing job responsibilities. Ability to understand and apply addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
