Warehouse&Logistics Engineer

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse & Logistics Engineer for our Memphis plant. You will be a key member of the plant's supply chain operations, fully responsible for the daily management of warehouse operations, optimization of logistics processes, and the maintenance and improvement of storage systems. You will ensure the safe, efficient, and accurate storage, picking, and shipping of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods, while continuously improving warehouse operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness to support plant production and customer delivery goals.

• Daily Warehouse Operations Management: Responsible for managing daily warehouse activities including receiving, storage, inventory control, order picking, packing, shipment, and finished goods dispatching, ensuring all operations comply with safety, quality, and efficiency standards; managing spare parts and consumables, and supporting customer sampling requirements.
• Logistics Process Optimization & Design: Analyze and optimize internal warehouse logistics processes, layout, and material handling flow; implement lean logistics and continuous improvement projects to reduce waste, increase space utilization, and improve operational efficiency.
• Inventory Management & Accuracy: Establish and maintain effective inventory control procedures; conduct regular cycle counts and annual physical inventories; ensure high data accuracy between the Warehouse Management System and physical stock; analyze discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• System Support & Data Analysis: Serve as key user support for the Warehouse Management System, ensuring data accuracy and process integrity; utilize data analysis and reporting tools to monitor KPIs and drive data-based decision-making and improvements.
• Compliance & Safety Management: Ensure all warehousing and logistics activities strictly comply with US OSHA, DOT, relevant local regulations, and company EHS policies; lead safety audits and improvements within the warehouse area.
• Supplier & Carrier Coordination: Coordinate with external logistics service providers to manage daily inbound and outbound logistics operations, ensuring timeliness and cost-effectiveness of transportation.
• Team Collaboration & Training: Work closely with Production, Planning, Quality, and Procurement teams to support material requirements; be responsible for or assist in training warehouse operators on processes, systems, and safe operations.

• Education: Bachelor s degree or above in Industrial Engineering, Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 3+ years of experience in a warehouse, logistics, or supply chain engineering role within a manufacturing or chemical industry environment; hands-on experience with Warehouse Management Systems and ERP systems (e.g., SAP).

• Language: Fluency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
