Forklift Operator, Material Handler
Overview
The PIT Tech operates a forklift to load and unload materials and deliveries and move them to and from storage areas, machines and loading docks into waste trailers trucks or storage facilities.
Transport material or equipment to and from designated areas in the facility loading and unloading material of good/ bad pallets.
Moving pallets around the storage facility stacking in the correct storage bays following inventory control instructions.
Checking loads are secure stacking empty pallets, performing daily equipment checks such as recharging the trucks battery

ResponsibilitiesOperate forklifts to transport materials and products, including recycling, broken wood, good wood, and trash, throughout the production facility.
Load and unload materials from trucks and storage areas.
Ensure accurate inventory management by scanning and recording items.
Perform routine inspections and maintenance of forklifts.
Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
Collaborate with other team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
Required:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- A high school diploma, GED, or college degree is not required.
Preferred:
- 1 year of similar work experience.
- 1 year of customer service experience.
