SUMMARY
As a Warehouse Associate you will perform various warehouse activities as well as receive, input, sort, load and unload products. You will also organize stock, maintain inventory, and process, pack and ship orders.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Stocks and pulls orders in a timely fashion with accuracy
- Receives items by unloading vehicles; accepting deliveries; unpacking containers
- Verifies items received by inspecting the condition of items; comparing count/measure of items to purchase order and packing list; noting discrepancies
- Documents items received by recording identifying information
- Transfers orders received by routing or delivering items to requesting department
- Prepares shipments by assembling, packing, protecting, and labeling containers
- Ships items by verifying identifying information and quantity and condition of items; loading and protecting items
- Documents items shipped by recording identifying information of items and transport information
- Load materials and products into package processing equipment
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Familiarity with hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other necessary warehouse equipment
- Solid communication skills and inventory skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to work Saturdays and Sundays
- Ability to read, write, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees of the organization
- Ability to add and subtract three-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's, using units of American money, weight measurement, volume, and distance
- Ability to perform these operations using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
Prepares to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear; stand, walk, reach with hands and arms; occasionally sit; lift/move up to 10 pounds regularly, up to 25 pounds frequently, and up to 75 pounds occasionally; maintain close, distance, color, peripheral, depth vision, adjust focus; spend time bending or twisting the body, keeping or regaining balance, making repetitive motions, standing, using hands to handle objects, tools, or controls, walking and running.
WORKENVIRONMENT
Warehouse environment where temperature is not controlled and can vary from very hot to very cold; cramped workspace, awkward positions; noise levels can be distracting or uncomfortable.
