Job Title:
Warehouse Hybrid – Forklift Operator and Quality Control
This Warehouse Hybrid role combines forklift operation and quality control responsibilities into a single, hands‑on position. You will help ensure accurate inventory management by safely operating a sit‑down forklift and performing a variety of warehouse tasks, both on and off the lift. Depending on business needs, you may work in inbound or outbound operations on a first‑shift schedule, Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. You will support core warehouse activities such as receiving, put‑away, product movement, order checking, packing, and shipping while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
ResponsibilitiesAccurately and efficiently perform warehouse activities, including moving, checking, packing, receiving, and shipping inventory.
Operate a sit‑down forklift to safely sort, handle, load, and unload palletized and non‑palletized freight.
Use RF scanners to verify order accuracy through visual checks and scanning procedures.
Read and interpret shipping labels to ensure correct routing and handling of products.
Account for and secure inventory for transport to designated areas throughout the warehouse.
Perform inbound receiving of product and product put‑away into designated storage locations.
Complete a forklift inspection before every shift to ensure equipment is operating properly and safely.
Maintain high levels of inventory accuracy by following established inventory control procedures.
Work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment while handling heavy lifting as required.
Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area in accordance with facility standards.
Perform general labor and material handling tasks, including unloading trucks and packaging products.
Use warehouse management systems (WMS) and related technology to support daily operations.
Carry out work associated with warehousing, material handling, and other related duties as assigned by leadership.
Previous warehouse experience is required.
Previous forklift and lift truck operating experience is required, specifically with sit‑down forklifts.
Ability to safely operate motorized lifts for loading, unloading, and moving freight.
Proficiency using RF scanners for inventory, order verification, and put‑away processes.
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English to interpret shipping labels and operational instructions.
Ability to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
Basic math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
Ability to stand for a minimum of 8 hours per shift.
Attention to detail to maintain inventory accuracy and verify order correctness.
Comfort working in a fast‑paced environment with heavy lifting and frequent material handling tasks.
Skills & Qualifications
Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are a plus.
Experience working with inbound freight, product put‑away, and unloading trucks.
Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS).
Experience with general labor, production, and packaging tasks in a warehouse setting.
Ability to work collaboratively within close‑knit warehouse teams.
