Logistics Coordinator

Role:
Supporting customer service, warehouse operations, and sales support at an Associated Packaging, Inc. branch office.

Responsibilities
  • Set delivery appointments for inbound POs, update calendar, verify and enter inbound POs (receive), verify lot or serial numbers, enter put‑away locations, process outbound paperwork, and verify outbound shipments.
  • Perform cycle count verification for accuracy and investigate discrepancies.
  • Be forklift certified and serve as the forklift trainer for the branch.
  • Main contact for facilitating/scheduling MHE service and serve as backup for warehouse personnel.
  • Provide freight quotes to customer service team, schedule outbound freight shipments, arrange for carrier pickup, and process pick sheets and BOLs.
  • Coordinate with freight carriers on claims, ensuring timely processing and resolution.
  • Work with the Freight Specialist on freight damage claims.
  • Process and pay branch invoices, including product, freight, and office supplies invoices to accounting.
  • Process open sales orders to generate customer billings.
  • Designated Safety Coordinator: conduct safety audits, inspections, and maintain product quarantine area.
  • Manage third‑party warehouse transactions, inbound product, outbound shipment processing, inventory monitoring, and freight cost control.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
  • Forklift certification
  • OSHA 10‑hour certification preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience with logistics, freight carriers, or warehouse operations
  • Knowledge of LTL, TL, and small parcel operations
  • Lean Six Sigma (or equivalent) root‑cause problem‑solving experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience using Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel) and ERP/Transportation Management systems
  • Experience with Net Suite and/or Freight Pop preferred
Competencies
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities to achieve goals; ability to work in a team environment
  • Experience using Microsoft Office 365 products (Outlook, Word, Excel) and ERP/Transportation Management systems
  • Experience with Net Suite and/or Freight Pop preferred
Work Environment
  • Standard office setting
  • Warehouse environment when necessary
