Position SummaryThe Supervisor, Warehouse Cycle Count/Inventory is responsible for supervising the cycle count and replenishment teams to ensure inventory accuracy, integrity, and accountability across the distribution center. The role oversees cycle count activities, inventory reconciliations, root‑cause analysis, and process improvements to maintain high inventory accuracy and support operational efficiency. It partners closely with warehouse operations, quality, transportation, and customer service teams to resolve discrepancies, ensure compliance with company policies, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
The supervisor provides leadership, coaching, training, and performance management for the inventory control team while leveraging inventory management systems and data analysis to optimize warehouse performance and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure accurate location integrity, warehouse cleanliness, product organization, and security.
- Report all discrepant locations and inventory issues.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, supporting and enforcing safety regulations and utilizing software tools to measure performance.
- Analyze and resolve work problems, motivate employees, and coordinate department activities.
- Follow ISO work instructions and strategically manage Conectiv’s Cycle Count Program.
- Provide necessary resources for customer demand and conduct quarterly counts.
- Audit locations, make corrections, and perform root‑cause analysis of count errors.
- Provide leadership for inventory processes and controls.
- Implement and verify effective strategies using minimal company resources.
- Verify quality and productivity standards, write detailed reports, and present findings in meetings.
- Suggest changes to inventory control systems and procedures for efficiency.
- Collaborate with other supervisors and inventory staff to achieve operational objectives.
- Develop and implement effective control processes to enhance productivity.
Education and Experience
- Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, procedures, and systems.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, solve problems, and adapt to change.
- Strong organizational skills and customer‑focused mindset.
- Independent work skills with minimal supervision.
- Expertise in warehouse management procedures and systems.
- Flexibility to occasionally work additional hours to ensure operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
- Manage, motivate, recognize, and develop assigned staff.
- Lead team to meet or exceed service‑level agreements (SLAs).
- Participate in interviewing, hiring, training, and onboarding of employees.
- Assign and direct daily work, conduct performance evaluations, and provide coaching and discipline as needed.
- Serve as escalation point for issue resolution and employee concerns.
Primarily operates in a warehouse environment, requiring flexibility to adapt between warehouse floor activities and administrative tasks. The role involves working near moving mechanical parts, packaging and/or distribution equipment, and changing temperatures. Workers are frequently exposed to moderate noise and vibration.
