Receiving Clerk / Sit-Down Forklift Operator
This role supports warehouse operations by safely receiving incoming products at the dock doors, operating a sit-down forklift, and accurately putting away materials throughout the facility. The position requires consistent physical activity, attention to detail, and basic computer proficiency in a clean, temperature-controlled manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities- Receive incoming products at the dock doors and verify counts and documentation for accuracy.
- Operate a sit-down forklift safely and efficiently to unload, move, and store materials.
- Consistently walk throughout the warehouse to put away materials in designated locations.
- Handle shipping and receiving tasks, including organizing, labeling, and staging materials as needed.
- Lift and move items weighing in excess of 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Stand for long periods of time while performing receiving and warehouse duties.
- Use basic computer systems to record receipts, track inventory, and update warehouse data.
- Apply counting, reading, and writing skills to complete paperwork and maintain accurate records.
- Follow warehouse procedures and safety guidelines to maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure timely and accurate material flow.
- Experience working as a receiving clerk or in a shipping and receiving role.
- Proficiency operating a sit-down forklift in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to lift in excess of 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Comfort standing for long periods of time during the shift.
- Ability to count, read, and write accurately to complete documentation and inventory tasks.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and system updates.
- Experience with shipping and receiving processes.
- Ability to walk consistently throughout a warehouse for material put-away.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with SAP is a strong plus.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a strong plus.
- Experience in shipping, receiving, and forklift operations.
- Willingness to work a schedule starting at 5:30 pm.
- Interest in growing within a large warehouse and manufacturing operation.

WorkEnvironment
This position is based at the Raines Road warehouse location in an extremely clean manufacturing site. The facility is temperature-controlled and designed for comfort and safety. The warehouse has significant growth potential, with plans to expand into a 3 million square foot campus. The role involves a schedule starting at 5:30 pm, regular walking throughout the warehouse, and frequent lifting of heavy materials.
Employees have access to a break room and recreation center, and work within a well-organized, modern warehouse environment that supports sit-down forklift operations and structured shipping and receiving processes. No additional certifications are required for this role.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Memphis, TN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
