Job Type: Full-Time (Onsite) Practice Setting:
Independent Community Pharmacy Work Environment:
Fast-paced, technology-driven, patient-focused Sign-On Bonus: $20,000 with a 3-year commitment or $10,000 with a 2-year commitment Expected
Hours:
40 hours per week (flexible; 30-40 hours per week negotiable)
- Full-Time | Approximately 40 hours per week
- 8-hour or 10-hour shifts
- Some Saturdays required (pharmacy closed on Sundays)
- Occasional on-call coverage for hospice prescriptions (compensated appropriately)
- Schedule flexibility may be negotiated
We are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused pharmacist to join a well-established independent community pharmacy in Mena, Arkansas. This role is ideal for pharmacists who enjoy a fast-paced environment, value strong teamwork, and are interested in clinical and patient-centered services.
The pharmacy utilizes Pioneer Rx software and a Med Sync-based workflow, with training provided. You will work alongside an experienced team in a supportive, family-friendly environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Medication Dispensing & Patient Care:
- Review and interpret prescriptions to ensure accuracy and appropriate therapy
- Provide patient counseling on prescription and OTC medications, side effects, and drug interactions
- Promote patient safety and high-quality pharmaceutical care
- Clinical & Preventive Services:
- Administer immunizations and educate patients on vaccines
- Conduct medication therapy management (MTM/Outcomes)
- Assist with clinical services such as strep, flu, and COVID Test & Treat programs
- Compliance & Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Support regulatory compliance and pharmacy standards
- Team & Operations Support:
- Assist with training pharmacy technicians and interns as needed
- Act as pharmacist-in-charge when the PIC is not onsite
- Support daily pharmacy workflow and operations
