Job Summary
The Department 3 Planner position will be responsible for scheduling, releasing, and tracking component requirements. Functions will include data entry, department planning, and direct communication with management, procurement, and engineering.
Job Description Primary Duties and Responsibilities- Create and release manufacture orders in accordance to the business MRP system and in a timely manner for all product requirements in the assigned departments
- Insure that accurate and up to date drawings, process sheets, and order information are provided to manufacturing
- Track purchased material availability required for the department schedule and communicate with the procurement group in order to prioritize and schedule production
- Report completed production in all business systems in a timely manner
- Track production thru the department and communicate past due requirements to the department leads and supervisors
- Process and communicate changes in requirements resulting from engineering or customer driven alterations
- Ensure that all non-conforming material is processed accurately and in a timely manner in the business systems
- Ensure that any new or incorrect planning data for items is reported to production control
- Ensure that a "clean" systems record is maintained for the assigned department
- Assist in all areas of production control as needed

- Oracle MRP, Excel Operations experience
- High School diploma or GED
- 6 months office experience preferably in a manufacturing setting.
- Previous employment in manufacturing
- Ability to work in a Team oriented setting
- Communication Skills - both written & verbal
