Job Title
Plans and performs a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulics maintenance functions to ensure all plant assets are properly maintained. Assist in prevention maintenance planning, development, and implementation.
Job DescriptionPRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Diagnose and remedy electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic problem expediently and correctly.
- Hand fit precision machine components i.e. scrape ways, gibs, fit bearings, use precision measuring equipment, or be an expert welder/fabricator
- Use advanced mathematics and formulas to fluid pressures and volumes, calculate loads, design tooling etc. familiar with drag and friction coefficients as well as harmonic vibration
- Able to troubleshoot PLC programs
- Able to use Layout, install and maintain all plant equipment and assets
- Determine weight/load ratings, design and construction of hoisting equipment, lifting devices, mezzanines, and stairs
- Use multi-meters, oscilloscopes, schematics, technical manuals, etc. For diagnosing machine and equipment problems
- Comply with company quality and safety guidelines
- Responsible to ensure equipment is maintained and repaired in accordance to published and/or posted safety documents, National Safety Code, OSHA standards or to manufactures recommendations

TECHNICAL/FUNCTIONAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
- Directing the work of 2 to 10 personnel
- Work/facilitate in a team environment
- ISO 9000 Compliance
- OSHA, NEC, EPA & Fire Code Requirements
- Vibration analysis
- HVAC, welding, fabricating, plumbing
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED
- Completion of a college Industrial Maintenance Associate Degree program or of an Online Industrial Maintenance Course approved by Nidec
Preferred Qualifications:
- Calculate loads
- Degree requirements for various electronic controller
- Read blueprints
- Data tables, charts and other reference materials
- Previous employment in manufacturing
- Ability to work in a Team oriented setting
- Good communication skills both verbal and written

Exposure to severe burn hazards (Molten aluminum @ 3000
F). Crushing hazards due to heavy and awkward machine parts. Falling hazards from working at 30 foot elevations. Explosion and fir hazard from gas fired burners and welding equipment. Potential for injury should it occur could result in total disability or death.
