Are you detail-oriented, organized, and someone who enjoys solving problems? Fleet Farm is looking for an Accounts Payable Coordinator to join our Finance team at our Appleton Store Support Center. In this role, you'll support Accounts Payable activities for our Fleet Farm stores and convenience stores , managing vendor accounts, researching and resolving discrepancies, supporting payment processes, and partnering with vendors and internal teams.
We're looking for someone with strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and a willingness to learn and grow within Accounting and Finance.
As an Accounts Payable Coordinator, you'll play an important role in supporting the financial operations behind Fleet Farm's stores and convenience stores. You'll manage vendor accounts, research discrepancies, and work with stores, suppliers, and internal partners to resolve issues and keep accounts accurate.
This is more than a transaction-processing role. We're looking for someone who is naturally curious and willing to dig into the details. When something doesn't look right, you'll research the issue, determine what happened, and help identify the appropriate solution.
What You’ll Do- Manage a high volume of vendor accounts supporting Fleet Farm stores and convenience stores , ensuring payments, credits, deductions, and account activity are accurate and up to date.
- Research and resolve invoice, payment, pricing, credit, deduction, and vendor account discrepancies.
- Review account information and supporting documentation to identify issues, determine root causes, and find the appropriate resolution.
- Monitor vendor balances, payments, credits, and deductions to ensure accurate and timely processing.
- Partner with Fleet Farm stores, convenience stores, vendors, and internal teams to answer questions and resolve outstanding issues.
- Build positive vendor relationships through professional communication and timely follow-up.
- Research and process supplier credits and other account adjustments.
- Assist with check deposits and other Accounts Payable activities as needed.
- Support month-end activities and ensure assigned work is completed accurately and within established deadlines.
- Use Excel, reports, and financial systems to research transactions, organize information, and support daily Accounts Payable activities.
- Follow established accounting procedures and internal controls while identifying opportunities to improve processes and efficiency.
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field , or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience in Accounts Payable, accounting, finance, vendor accounts, reconciliations, or related work is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to research discrepancies and determine appropriate solutions.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage a high volume of work and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional, customer-focused approach.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with others.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
- Experience with an ERP or financial system, including Oracle, is a plus.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, curiosity, and willingness to learn.
