Senior Engineer M&S Finite Element Analysis

Faith Technologies Inc. (FTI) is currently seeking a Senior Engineer M&S Finite Element Analysis to join our Product Engineering team in Menasha, WI. The successful candidate will conduct structural and thermal impact analyses on enclosures and components, supporting the design of power distribution enclosures, data center enclosures, switchboards, and battery packs to optimize material, cost, and reliability.

• Structural and thermal impact analysis of power distribution enclosures, switchboard enclosures, data center enclosures (including panels, mounting brackets, busbars, wiring, circuit breakers), and battery energy storage systems.
• Model enclosures to simulate loading conditions (transport, environmental, mechanical stress) to identify weaknesses and optimize structural integrity before physical prototyping.
• Simulate and predict fatigue failure risk due to repeated thermal cycles and mechanical stress.
• Model temperature distribution within structures or battery packs under varying thermal loading conditions.
• Optimize modular enclosure designs (switchboards, UPS, battery packs) to reduce material weight and cost while improving robustness and safety.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in finite element analysis modeling.
• Proven experience with Ansys, Abaqus, COMSOL, or similar FEA software.
• Strong knowledge of static and dynamic structural analysis, material strength, and failure modeling for various material classes.
• Knowledge of CAD design software such as AutoCAD, Solid Works, or similar.
• Familiarity with renewable energy systems (solar, wind, power conversion, energy storage) and containers.
• Familiarity with power distribution enclosures including UPS, switchboards, batteries, and power electronics.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to interpret simulation results.
• Ability to communicate technical findings effectively and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.

• Graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant field.
• Experience modeling renewable energy systems and power distribution enclosures.
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and industry standards related to microgrid, power generation, and energy storage technologies.

This role requires onsite work at our Menasha, WI office. Travel is 5‑10%. The position runs Monday‑Friday, 7AM‑5PM, but may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs.
