Faith Technologies Inc. (FTI) is searching for an Electrical Designer to support the Product Engineering team in Menasha, WI
. The Electrical Designer will be responsible for creating electro‑mechanical parts and assemblies for products used within the renewable energy, microgrid, EV charging, crypto mining, and data center markets.
The Electrical Designer will support the Design Engineering team using CAD tools to design and create both piece parts and multi‑level assemblies of various products. Beyond the design activities, the individual will be expected to work with other disciplines within the organization to validate the design of the product, including taking input on design requirements, evaluating various solutions, presenting design concepts, and making recommendations on final design solutions.
The position also requires experience in material selection, component costing, fabrication processes, assembly processes, product verification and validation, and design trade‑offs.
This position will create 2D prints and 3D models for both piece part components and assemblies along with assembly documentation. Understanding drawing standards, Change Notice practices, and creation on Bills of Material is required for this position.
Minimum Requirements- Associate's Degree in Electrical Design or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years product design experience
- Proficient in 2D/3D CAD design software (Inventor, CATIA, Solid Works, Creo)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience in Electrical Design and Drafting
- Experience with electrical components or equipment
- Experience in Bill of Material creation and Change Notice processes
- 5+ years of product design experience
- Experience in large 3D assemblies
- Experience in electrical components and assemblies, electrical schematic generation, electrical harnesses, bus bar design, and power transmission principles
- Experience in casting, machining, roto‑molded components, or fiber‑reinforced plastic components
- Experience in electrical components or equipment
Travel: 10-25%
Work Schedule:
This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday-Friday.
This role requires work to be done onsite from the Menasha, WI office. Our onsite roles include a high level of workplace and schedule flexibility to support a healthy work‑life balance.
Key Responsibilities- Performs electro‑mechanical designs and calculations under the direct supervision of an Engineer or Team Lead.
- Assists in the preparation of electro‑mechanical designs for power and low voltage products.
- Interacts with the Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Industrial Engineering staff on a regular basis.
- Presents technical information during design meetings or reviews.
- Creates and updates 2D prints and 3D models for piece parts components.
- Creates and updates 3D layouts of top‑level and sub‑level assemblies.
- Prepare Bills of Materials and prepare Change Notices to release components and assemblies.
- Supports the creation of technical manuals for operation and maintenance of related products.
- Self-checks own work to ensure accuracy to established drawing and design specifications and standards.
- Provide technical assistance for prototype and pilot builds along with production support as needed.
- Works with suppliers to integrate various components into higher level system designs.
- Supports service, aftermarket, and installation teams as needed.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
