Lead Electrical Engineer – Product Engineering Team, Menasha, WI.
FTI is searching for a Lead Electrical Engineer to design and lead teams in specifying electrical and electro‑mechanical parts and assemblies for renewable energy, microgrid, EV charging, crypto mining, and data center products.
This role supports the Design Engineering team in design, qualification, and system architecture of electrical components, sub‑systems, multi‑level assemblies, and product architecture. It collaborates with other disciplines to understand customer and market requirements, design products for manufacturability, support product development through the product lifecycle, and provide after‑sales service support.
About the Product Engineering TeamOur Product Engineering Team transforms ideas into real‑world products for Excellerate Products, a division of Faith Technologies. Engineers design data center power distribution products, electric vehicle charging skids, switchboards, and more, focusing on quality, manufacturability, and customer outcomes.
Minimum Requirements- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 8+ years of experience
- Working knowledge of 2D/3D CAD design software (Inventor, CATIA, Solid Works, Creo)
- Significant design experience with low voltage electrical circuits, wire harnesses, PLC controllers, and complex electrical systems
- Preferred: experience in electrical component or equipment design within the energy industry
- Preferred: experience with programming languages and controls software
- 10 years of product design experience
- Manufacturing and field support experience
- Experience leading other team members
Travel: 10-25%
Work Location: Onsite in Menasha, WI. Roles have workplace flexibility to support work‑life balance.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7 AM – 5 PM (flexible to meet role expectations)
Key Responsibilities- Plan, direct, and coordinate activities of the engineering team.
- Provide coaching and development opportunities for team members.
- Develop design scope and timelines for engineering projects.
- Ensure project requirements and timelines are met.
- Research, create, and update engineering design standards.
- Support design of electrical components and sub‑systems for power/low‑voltage products.
- Perform complex design calculations and review others’ work for correctness.
- Study and apply relevant government and industry standards.
- Produce documentation, including electrical schematics, component prints, assemblies, and compliance documents.
- Collaborate regularly with Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Industrial Engineering staff.
- Participate in and present technical information during design meetings or reviews.
- Support creation of 2D prints and 3D models at system level.
- Help develop product Bill of Materials structures for modularity and configurability.
- Review Bills of Materials and Change Notices to release components and assemblies.
- Support cost analysis to meet pricing targets.
- Create technical manuals for operation and maintenance.
- Provide technical assistance for prototype, pilot builds, and production support.
- Work with suppliers to integrate components into higher‑level system designs.
- Support service, aftermarket, and installation teams as needed.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
